Coach Max

Coach Max Smith has been coaching with the Marlins for the past year working primarily with the Senior Development group. Max is student at North Carolina State University studying political science. Max is originally from Chapel Hill, where he swam for the North Carolina Aquatic Club and Chapel Hill High School. Max qualified for the Southern Zone Champion NC zone team in 1998, and also qualified for Junior Nationals in 1999. Max has experience in coaching all ages from novice to senior level swimming.
