Jonathan Watson has been coaching in the Raleigh area since 1977.  He served as an assistant coach at the Tarheel Aqua Racers (1981-1985); the Head Coach of the New Wave Swim Team (1985-2006) and has been an assistant coach with the Marlins of Raleigh since 2006.  Jonathan has coached swimmers from the novice level all the way to National Qualifiers, including numerous National Top-16 swimmers.  Currently he coaches the MOR Senior I and Age Group 3 swimmers.  Jonathan is active in North Carolina Swimming and is currently in his seventh year as General Chairman.  He has served on several National committees including the Communications Committee, Camps Committee, and Marketing Committee.  Jonathan is a 1981 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Journalism/Advertising and swam for the Tarheels as well.
